About ShadedMD
ShadedMD is an online service that connects drivers who have a medical need for darker window tint with licensed U.S. physicians. You answer a short medical questionnaire, a physician reviews it, and if you qualify you receive a signed certificate documenting your medical need, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
ShadedMD (shadedmd.com) is an independent online medical window tint exemption service and is not affiliated with TintedMD or any similarly named company.
What we do
- A licensed physician reviews every questionnaire. No approval is automatic.
- One flat $129 fee, with a full refund within 30 days if the physician cannot approve you.
- For states that require their own DMV or state police form, we show you which form it is and how to file it. Each state page lists the statute and official sources it is based on.
- Your medical information is encrypted and shared only with the reviewing physician.
What we don't do
Some states have no medical exemption for darker tint, or allow only clear UV film or removable screens. We do not sell evaluations in: Colorado, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Utah. Every state's limits are on our window tint laws by state page.
